Headless Commerce
It is an ecommerce architecture that separates the front-end presentation layer of an online store from the back-end ecommerce functionality, allowing for greater flexibility, customization, and scalability. This way, the front-end design and user interface (UI) can be created separately from the platform and can be updated or changed without affecting the underlying ecommerce infrastructure. This enables retailers to create highly personalized, engaging, and interactive user experiences tailored to their customer's needs and preferences. At the same time, back-end ecommerce functionality, such as order management, inventory management, and payment processing, remains intact and can be accessed through an API (application programming interface), enabling seamless integration with third-party tools and services, making it easy to add new functionality, experiment with new technologies and adapt to changing market trends without disrupting the core ecommerce infrastructure.
